Salary: Base + Commission
Location: Las Vegas
Type: Full-Time Hybrid On-Site
Position: Sales Manager

Emerge XP is supporting a national trade show and event services organization in hiring a Sales Manager to drive new business growth within the exhibit, convention, and exposition market. This is an individual contributor sales role built for someone who knows how to identify opportunity, build trust with show organizers, and compete for high value event partnerships. The focus is new business growth: opening doors, leading strategic pursuits, responding to complex RFPs, and securing show organizer business across conventions, expositions, association events, regional trade shows, and corporate programs. The right candidate will understand how sales cycles are built and how the operational side of the business connects to the sale. This role requires a seller who can speak credibly about exhibitor services, material handling, logistics, labor, floor plans, venue requirements, signage, graphics, and show site execution while positioning the full value of a national event services platform. Success in this role will come from disciplined prospecting, sharp discovery, strong RFP strategy, executive level presence, and the ability to compete in a relationship driven, bid driven market.

Why This Role
This is a growth focused opportunity for a proven sales professional who understands the trade show and exposition space and wants to pursue meaningful business in one of the most active live event markets in the country. You’ll represent an organization with the resources, service model, and delivery infrastructure to support complex events across markets, while staying close enough to the work to understand the details that matter. For someone wired for strategic business development, this role offers the opportunity to lead high-value pursuits, influence RFP strategy, build strong organizer relationships, and win work with long term revenue potential.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities with trade show organizers, association executives, independent event producers, corporate event teams, and other key decision makers
  • Pursue new show organizer opportunities across conventions, expositions, annual meetings, regional trade shows, corporate user conferences, and special events
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of new business from early outreach through signed agreement
  • Lead consultative sales conversations that uncover event goals, stakeholder priorities, budget dynamics, operational concerns, exhibitor needs, and decision criteria
  • Drive RFP strategy and response development in collaboration with leadership, operations, design, estimating, finance, and show service teams
  • Help shape proposals, service approach, preliminary floor plan direction, financial models, and presentation narratives that align with organizer priorities
  • Position a full service event platform that may include organizer services, exhibitor services, creative and design, material handling, signage and graphics, transportation and logistics, labor management, and show site execution
  • Present to executive level buyers with confidence, credibility, and clear command of the trade show and exposition environment
  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing strategy, scope, and partnership structure with a focus on long term value
  • Secure new contracts and support a smooth hand off to account, operations, and execution teams
  • Maintain strong industry visibility through trade shows, association events, conferences, referrals, networking, and strategic market engagement
  • Track activity, pipeline, forecasting, proposals, conversion, revenue, and account potential with discipline
  • Monitor competitive activity, market trends, organizer needs, venue dynamics, and exhibitor expectations to strengthen sales strategy
  • Partner cross functionally to ensure sales commitments align with operational realities, client expectations, budget, and execution requirements
  • Support revenue growth through won organizer contracts and a clear understanding of exhibitor service opportunities tied to each event

Requirements

  • Proven business development experience within trade shows, conventions, exposition services, event services, exhibits, or a closely related segment of the live events industry
  • Strong understanding of how show organizer agreements are sourced, evaluated, awarded, and renewed
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, pursue, and win net new business with complex buyers and longer sales cycles
  • Experience contributing to or leading RFP responses, proposal strategy, sales presentations, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations
  • Working knowledge of show management needs, exhibitor services, material handling, freight and logistics, signage and graphics, labor rules, venue requirements, and show site execution
  • Ability to speak credibly with association executives, show organizers, independent producers, corporate stakeholders, venue contacts, and internal operations teams
  • Strong presence with the ability to lead high value sales conversations and present multi-year solutions
  • Commercial discipline around pipeline management, forecasting, CRM usage, follow-up, activity, and revenue targets
  • Relationship driven sales approach with the competitiveness, resilience, and consistency required to win in a bid driven market
  • Comfortable traveling for client meetings, show site visits, industry events, presentations, and relationship building opportunities
  • Las Vegas market knowledge and established industry relationships strongly preferred
  • High ownership, clear communication, and the judgment to balance growth, client expectations, and execution realities
