Our client is a Bay Area exhibit partner known for building high-impact brand environments, custom exhibits, experiential builds, rentals, and mobile solutions supported by an integrated team that brings design, fabrication, and project execution together. The work moves fast, the standards are high, and the expectation is simple: deliver beautiful builds with disciplined execution. As Project Manager, you’re the person who keeps that promise. You’ll own internal production projects from kickoff through completion driving timeline, coordinating departments, and keeping every moving piece aligned. It’s a hands-on role built for someone who understands how fabrication runs: the handoffs, the dependencies, and the real-world decisions that protect schedule, quality, and margin.
Why This Role
-
You’re at the center of the build. You’ll partner directly with CAD, purchasing, graphics, production, and warehouse, keeping momentum tight and communication clean.
-
You’re working with a team that values craft. This is a “details matter” environment where quality and client experience aren’t optional.
-
You own outcomes, not just tasks. Your work directly impacts delivery, profitability, and how smoothly projects move through the shop.
-
You’ll operate with real resources. An integrated operation and strong partner network mean that you can execute at a high level without reinventing the wheel every time.
-
Minimal travel. Travel is limited and driven by project needs.
Responsibilities
-
Own budgets and protect margin. Track costs, maintain visibility, and keep project health tight throughout production.
-
Build and manage production schedules. Create master timelines and keep departments aligned to what’s due, when, and why.
-
Run clean kickoffs + handoffs. Translate scope into action and ensure teams have what they need to execute.
-
Oversee CAD workflow and approvals. Keep drawings moving, accurate, and production-ready.
-
Drive shop execution. Coordinate fabrication progress with shop leadership to keep work moving and issues surfaced early.
-
Coordinate subcontractors + external partners. Keep outside resources aligned to scope, timing, and quality expectations.
-
Manage change orders with discipline. Capture scope shifts early, document clearly, and communicate internally to protect timeline and margin.
-
Support warehouse + logistics flow. Help ensure inventory, staging, and shipping coordination stays organized and on time.
-
Escalate quality risks quickly. Identify QC concerns early and collaborate with department leaders on solutions.
-
Support pricing alignment for new construction. Partner cross-functionally to strengthen pricing accuracy as projects enter production.
Requirements
-
2+ years in a similar project role; exhibit industry experience strongly preferred.
-
Strong written and verbal communication: clear updates, clean documentation, reliable follow-through.
-
Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
-
Comfortable in a technical fabrication environment (carpentry, metalwork, paint, tension fabric, graphics production, and related methods).
-
Degree preferred, not required.
-
Travel as needed by project.
