CAD Detailer, Exhibits, Las Vegas

Salary: $75K-$90K
Location: Las Vegas
Type: Full-Time Hybrid On-Site Remote
Position: CAD Detailer

Emerge XP is partnering with a design-driven exhibit and event production team to hire a CAD Detailer who knows how to turn approved creative into clean, buildable reality. This group works across custom trade show exhibits, event environments, and branded experiences, with in-house capabilities spanning design, detailing, fabrication, and installation support. Their model is turnkey, collaborative, and built around bringing bold ideas to life with precision.
This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys both the technical and creative sides of the work. You might be building from scratch, refining an approved concept, or translating renderings into shop-ready drawing sets that production can trust. You’ll work closely with project management and fabrication, helping ensure every booth, environment, and activation is not only visually strong, but actually buildable, installable, and ready for the floor.
Why This Role
This is a strong opportunity for someone who loves being at the center of how great experiential work actually gets made. In this role, you’ll help translate creative vision into something tangible, buildable, and show-ready, partnering closely with design, project management, and fabrication along the way. The work is high-visibility and fast-moving, with the chance to contribute to trade shows, branded environments, and event experiences.  This is the kind of team where technical precision is genuinely valued and your ability to think through details, solve problems early, and create documentation the shop can trust has a real impact on the final result.

Responsibilities

  • Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings for trade show exhibits, event activations, and branded environments
  • Translate approved renderings and design concepts into detailed shop drawings and production-ready documentation
  • Create floor plans, elevations, sections, setup drawings, and assembly guides
  • Prepare CNC cut files and fabrication support drawings when required
  • Develop accurate show service layouts, including floor, electrical, and rigging-related plans
  • Specify materials, framing methods, hardware, graphics, lighting, and fabrication details
  • Build bills of materials that support production planning and execution
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Designers, and Fabrication teams to clarify design intent and resolve build challenges early
  • Maintain organized files, drawing revisions, and CAD standards across projects
  • Support internal design reviews and contribute to layout, detailing, and constructability conversations
  • Revise drawings as needed to reflect client updates, production feedback, and field adjustments
  • Help ensure final documentation is clear, accurate, and ready for the shop and install team

Requirements

  • 5+ years of CAD detailing or technical design experience in exhibits, trade shows, millwork, or custom fabrication
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Recent experience with 3D design tools, Adobe 3D workflows, or similar visualization/detailing platforms
  • Strong understanding of exhibit construction, architectural mill-work, and fabrication methods
  • Knowledge of woods, metals, laminates, graphics, hardware, and best-practice build techniques
  • Ability to interpret design intent and translate it into clear, production-ready construction documents
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills, with the ability to think through alternate methods of construction
  • High attention to detail and a consistent standard of accuracy
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment without heavy oversight
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Portfolio of recent trade show or mill-work drawings required
