Our client is a full-service experiential partner that designs, builds, and installs trade show exhibits, showrooms, and other live brand environments. Their team is known for acting as combining strategy, creativity, craftsmanship, and hands-on support to deliver a smooth show program from concept through dismantle and storage.
They support custom and rental programs, along with complementary capabilities that can include interiors, events, graphics, and integrated technologies.
This is a hands-on detailing role for someone who loves turning big creative ideas into build-ready reality. As the CAD Detailer, you will translate approved concepts into precise, production-ready construction documents that fabrication teams can trust down to the last dimension and callout.
You’ll collaborate closely with design, project management, and production to keep projects moving, reduce shop-floor friction, and ensure the finished product looks as good in real life as it did in the render.

Responsibilities
- Create detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD
- Develop plan views, elevations, sections, and assembly drawings
- Produce exploded views and installation drawings as required
- Apply accurate dimensions, tolerances, material/finish callouts, and clear fabrication notes
- Generate cut lists and hardware specifications when needed
- Convert 3D design concepts and renderings into clean, build-ready 2D production documentation
- Coordinate with Designers to clarify intent and resolve constructability questions before drawings are released
- Collaborate with Project Managers to meet schedules and protect scope
- Incorporate client changes, engineering feedback, and field modifications with strong revision control
- Provide drawing support during fabrication and finishing
- Revise drawings to address production or installation challenges while maintaining accuracy and traceability
- Assist with CNC routing documentation when applicable
- Support value engineering and material optimization efforts
- Maintain CAD standards (layers, blocks, naming conventions) and keep files organized
- Review drawings for completeness and accuracy before release to production
Requirements
- 3+ years of CAD detailing experience in custom fabrication (exhibits, millwork, cabinetry)
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of woodworking, metal fabrication, and exhibit materials
- Ability to interpret design intent from renderings/specs and produce clear construction documents
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Experience detailing for exhibit fabrication (custom, rental, modular, or hybrid builds)
- Collaboration with fabrication teams and understanding shop/installation realities
- Familiarity with CNC workflows and documentation
