Position: AV Project Manager

Our client is an established live event production and AV partner supporting high-profile meetings and events across the United States and internationally. They have combined strategy, creative direction, technology, and production to deliver polished experiences for corporate teams, associations, meeting planners, and agency partners.

We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Project Manager to lead projects from initial planning through onsite execution. This individual will bring together the client’s objectives, technical requirements, production team, equipment, and event logistics to ensure each program is thoughtfully planned and delivered to a high standard.

The Project Manager will serve as a trusted point of connection between clients, technicians, vendors, venues, and internal teams while maintaining clear communication, strong documentation, and consistent ownership throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead AV and live event projects from initial discovery and technical planning through onsite execution and post-event review
  • Develop a clear understanding of each client’s objectives, audience, production needs, and event priorities
  • Translate creative and technical requirements into detailed production plans, schedules, budgets, and equipment needs
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning and production process
  • Coordinate internal teams, technicians, venues, vendors, and other production partners
  • Schedule crews, reserve equipment, and manage transportation, shipping, and onsite logistics
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, production schedules, equipment lists, and budget information
  • Lead onsite production teams and ensure technical, scheduling, and client expectations are met
  • Identify project requirements early and develop clear plans that support successful execution
  • Make informed, timely decisions throughout the planning process and during live production
  • Support pre-production, warehouse preparation, technical planning, and onsite setup when needed
  • Maintain consistent communication before, during, and after each event
  • Conduct post-event reviews and identify opportunities to strengthen future execution
  • Stay current on AV technology, equipment, production practices, and live event trends

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in AV, live event production, or a related technical environment
  • Advanced working knowledge of audio, video, lighting, staging, and live production systems
  • Experience leading or coordinating AV projects, technical crews, event logistics, and onsite execution
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Confidence communicating with clients, technicians, vendors, venues, and internal teams
  • Ability to manage multiple active projects, priorities, and production timelines
  • Strong organizational, documentation, budgeting, and time-management skills
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions in fast-moving production environments
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Deep understanding of the broader client and audience experience
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a collaborative production team
  • Experience with project tracking, scheduling, or production management platforms
  • Willingness to remain hands-on and support technical or operational needs when required
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the United States and internationally
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on event and travel schedules
  • Valid driver’s license and passport with the ability to travel without restriction
