Emerge XP is recruiting a Senior 3D Designer for an established exhibit and experiential design organization creating custom trade show exhibits, branded environments, corporate interiors, and immersive brand experiences.
A great rendering is the starting point. The real test is what happens when the design leaves the screen. This opportunity is for a seasoned designer who understands how to create visually compelling environments that are equally strong in functionality, fabrication, and real-world execution. You'll take creative ownership of sophisticated 3D design projects, translating client objectives into environments that connect brands with their audiences. Working alongside account executives, estimating, project management, graphics, and fabrication teams, you'll bring ideas from the earliest concepts through to the finished physical experience.
Why This Role
There is something particularly rewarding about seeing a concept you've developed become an environment people can actually walk through, interact with, and experience. This role puts you close to that entire process. You'll have the opportunity to design across custom trade show exhibits, large-scale branded environments, corporate interiors, and experiential activations, with direct access to the teams responsible for bringing your concepts to life. The work is creatively diverse, technically challenging, and collaborative. You'll have meaningful ownership, the ability to influence design decisions, and opportunities to expand your expertise while working on projects that demand both exceptional creative thinking and practical execution.

- Partner with Account Executives and client teams to refine design concepts, present creative ideas, and respond to feedback
- Collaborate with estimating, engineering, fabrication, graphics, and installation teams to ensure designs are technically sound and buildable
- Consider materials, finishes, structural limitations, production methods, packing, shipping, installation, and reuse throughout the design process
- Make informed creative decisions that account for production capabilities, project budgets, and installation requirements
- Manage multiple design assignments while maintaining strong creative standards, accuracy, and deadlines
- Bring fresh thinking, constructive feedback, and creative problem-solving to the broader design team

- Experience designing within defined production budgets and understanding the financial implications of creative decisions
- Confidence presenting design concepts and communicating effectively with clients and cross-functional teams
- The ability to independently lead complex design projects while remaining highly collaborative
